Superintendent of Warehouse and Receiving
About The Position

We are looking for a Superintendent of Receiving and Warehouse to join our team and support the Agricultural Ingredients business in Turlock, California. You will serve as the primary supervisor for all facility-wide activities as well as primary administrative responsibilities on a given shift. This position is the highest acting authority on site during off hours. Primary area of focus is to ensure warehouse expectations are met while maintaining product quality levels and a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Hands-on leadership experience with the ability to guide, support, and develop team members.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both receiving, warehouse and transportation staff and management.
- Possesses a strong data analysis aptitude.
- Prior warehouse, transportation and/or receiving experience.
- Excellent organizational skills, leadership qualities, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Assure efficient use of staff and equipment to meet warehouse and receiving needs while maintaining cost and overtime to a minimum
- Assists in maintaining, creating, and enforcing accurate policies and procedures across facility
- Foster a safe work environment by adhering to and enforcing all safety policies and regulations
- Analyzes transportation, receiving and warehouse data and recommends measures for continuous improvement. Also supports and promotes employee involvement in continuous improvement programs
- Provides leadership and direction via good communication skill
