About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent III to take command of complex construction projects from the ground up. In this critical leadership role, you'll oversee all jobsite operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects in the Higher Education, K-12, and Industrial sectors are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. As the central force driving field execution, you'll collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and clients while mentoring teams to achieve exceptional results.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-12+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience managing field operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent field experience will be considered)
  • Extensive hands-on experience with commercial construction activities and jobsite management
  • Expert knowledge of construction processes, methods, scheduling software, and cost control systems
  • Proven leadership abilities with strong team mentoring and subcontractor management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interface with all project stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools, and project documentation systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Willingness to travel within the state for various project assignments
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with general contractors in Higher Education, K-12 schools, or Industrial construction markets highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all field operations for complex commercial construction projects
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site construction teams
  • Ensure project delivery meets safety standards, quality benchmarks, timeline milestones, and budget parameters
  • Implement and enforce comprehensive safety management programs and OSHA compliance
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules, coordinating trades and resources effectively
  • Monitor cost control measures and collaborate with project managers on budget tracking
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections and ensure adherence to specifications and building codes
  • Lead daily coordination meetings with subcontractors, engineers, and project stakeholders
  • Resolve on-site construction challenges through effective problem-solving and decision-making
  • Mentor and develop field staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture
  • Maintain strong communication with general contractors, architects, owners, and design teams
  • Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
