About The Position

We are seeking a Superintendent (Heavy Civil - Infrastructure) to join the team in New Jersey. This role will lead field execution on a high-profile transportation project, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to spec while coordinating multiple trades and stakeholders.

Requirements

20+ years of experience in heavy civil construction with a strong field leadership background
At least 10 years in a Superintendent or similar supervisory role
Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects valued at $200M+
Hands-on experience with piles, structural concrete, and structural steel
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, methods, and safety practices
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical plans
Proficiency with tools such as MS Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and HCSS HeavyBid
OSHA certification and strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Experience working on public sector projects or with government agencies
Familiarity with union labor environments and trade coordination
Additional safety or first aid certifications

Responsibilities

Oversee daily field operations across a large-scale infrastructure project
Drive project schedules by coordinating crews, subcontractors, and materials
Monitor productivity, progress, and quality to ensure alignment with project goals
Interpret drawings and specifications to guide field execution
Partner with project leadership to plan sequencing, logistics, and resource allocation
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific standards
Collaborate with client representatives, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
Identify and resolve field issues to keep work moving efficiently
