About The Position

We are seeking a Superintendent (Heavy Civil - Infrastructure) to join the team in New Jersey. This role will lead field execution on a high-profile transportation project, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to spec while coordinating multiple trades and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 20+ years of experience in heavy civil construction with a strong field leadership background
• At least 10 years in a Superintendent or similar supervisory role
• Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects valued at $200M+
• Hands-on experience with piles, structural concrete, and structural steel
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, methods, and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical plans
• Proficiency with tools such as MS Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and HCSS HeavyBid
• OSHA certification and strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Experience working on public sector projects or with government agencies
• Familiarity with union labor environments and trade coordination
• Additional safety or first aid certifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations across a large-scale infrastructure project
• Drive project schedules by coordinating crews, subcontractors, and materials
• Monitor productivity, progress, and quality to ensure alignment with project goals
• Interpret drawings and specifications to guide field execution
• Partner with project leadership to plan sequencing, logistics, and resource allocation
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific standards
• Collaborate with client representatives, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
• Identify and resolve field issues to keep work moving efficiently
