About The Position

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of onsite construction activities. Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar field leadership role.
  • Experience overseeing federal construction projects (strongly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and industry best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of federal safety requirements and construction regulations.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with daily reporting and construction management software.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time and travel to project locations as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS)
  • OSHA 30 (required or obtained within 30 days of hire).
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • USACE CQM‑C certification.
  • Additional construction industry certifications are a plus.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Professional certifications: CQE, CQA, or PMP are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise daily field operations, subcontractors, and onsite personnel.
  • Ensure all work complies with project specifications, drawings, codes, and federal agency requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, inspections, material deliveries, and equipment.
  • Monitor project progress and maintain the construction schedule, report changes or delays.
  • Enforce strict safety standards and ensure OSHA and federal safety requirements are followed.
  • Conduct daily site walks and safety meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control Manager (QCM) on inspections, testing, and documentation.
  • Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and field documentation.
  • Identify and resolve onsite issues promptly to minimize delays and disruptions.
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for the government client, inspectors, and stakeholders.
  • Support punch list completion, project closeout, and turnover activities.
