This organization is recognized for delivering complex healthcare and large-scale commercial projects with a strong commitment to safety, quality execution, and long-term client relationships. The firm is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to oversee multiple active healthcare construction projects in the Charleston market. This role is ideal for an experienced field leader who can manage several job sites simultaneously while maintaining consistent standards for execution, subcontractor performance, and regulatory compliance. Position Summary The Superintendent will lead day-to-day onsite operations across multiple ongoing projects, serving as the primary field authority responsible for schedules, safety enforcement, quality control, subcontractor coordination, and milestone delivery. You will partner closely with Project Managers and senior construction leadership to ensure projects progress efficiently, safely, and in alignment with client expectations.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction
• Proven ability to independently lead subcontractors, field crews, and jobsite operations
• Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously with consistency and control
• Strong organizational skills and execution-focused leadership style
• Must be able to work fully onsite in Charleston, SC and commute reliably to nearby project sites
• Demonstrated job stability and long-term accountability in prior roles
• Ability to start immediately or support early project ramp-up as needed

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare construction experience (hospitals, rehab facilities, surgical centers, specialty clinics)
• Experience working with top commercial general contractors in regulated environments
• Strong client-facing communication and calm leadership under pressure
• Construction Management degree or equivalent field-based expertise

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution across multiple healthcare construction projects in Charleston and surrounding areas
• Oversee daily jobsite operations, trade sequencing, and subcontractor coordination
• Maintain schedule discipline and ensure project milestones are achieved consistently
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols, quality standards, and healthcare regulatory requirements
• Monitor field productivity and proactively resolve issues before they impact timelines or budgets
• Collaborate with Project Management teams on project planning, cost controls, and reporting
• Serve as a key onsite point of contact for clients, inspectors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Uphold professionalism, accountability, and strong communication across active job sites
