The Role:
We are looking for a smart and driven intern with a passion for sustainability and the role of businesses as a platform for change and innovation. You will contribute and independently drive projects within the sustainability team and closely work with a multitude of stakeholders, based on your skills and experience you bring. You help identify key priorities, conduct research and develop new ideas for implementation. You support across all strategic areas of the sustainability team and contribute to product development, sales execution and internal operations and communication.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in sustainable business management, business administration or in a comparable program with a focus on sustainability; environmental sciences/technologies is a plus.
• An understanding of business sustainability challenges (climate change, CO2 measurement, regulatory frameworks) and available solutions with the aspiration to become a domain expert one day, proven through your work experience or private endeavors.
• An understanding of process mining and initial ideas about how process mining could be applied to help companies overcome sustainability challenges.
• Ability to develop and maintain value-driven, productive relationships with customers and partners, as well as internal stakeholders.
• Passionate about helping customers solve business and sustainability challenges. You are intellectually curious, have a willingness to learn, and continuously seek self-improvement.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Critical thinking and analytical mindset with a preference to solve problems pragmatically and with high quality.
• Ability to collaborate, partner, and work effectively and smoothly in a hyper-growth company in an international team, including collaborating with team members in a remote setting.
• Available for full-time (40hr/week) internship from June 1st to August 7th
• It is required to be based in Raleigh for the duration of the internship
• Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Sustainability Engagement & Activation: Assist in executing key sustainability initiatives that empower, inspire, and activate our stakeholders—such as Impact Days, Celonis for NGOs, and innovation challenges that drive sustainable impact across our company.
• Research & Analysis: Monitor ESG trends, innovations, and regulatory developments, conducting continuous market research and data analysis to inform strategic initiatives within the sustainability team—especially in decarbonizing the supply chain and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Internal & External Communications: Support internal sustainability communications to engage Celonauts in sustainability initiatives, as well as contribute to external-facing content that highlights sustainability efforts with our customers. Help create materials such as Slack posts, newsletters, and campaigns to drive awareness and action.
