POSITION SUMMARY The Summer Work Experience Job Coach has the primary responsibility to provide the Summer Work Experience (SWE) Interns with the supports he/she needs to successfully complete their employment internship at the host employment site. These supports may include verbal prompts, creation of checklists, assisting in the completion of paperwork, breaking down tasks, brainstorming accommodations, etc. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must build rapport with SWE Interns but also with management, supervisors, and coworkers at host employment sites. Prepare analysis of work environment, requirements and specific job analysis and teach skills necessary for SWE Interns to meet or exceed performance expectations Accurately complete all paperwork in a timely manner while maintaining CARF and funding standards and regulations Demonstrate excellent communication skills to include active listening Ensure host employer needs are being met Transport SWE Interns to and from hos employment sites if necessary SKILLS AND ABILITIES Accountability Autonomy Reliable Compassion and Kindness Ethical behavior and decision making Respect the rights of individuals Meeting Standards Personal Accountability Respect for others Respect for procedures COMPETENCIES Accurate listening Attitude towards others Being able to relate to others Flexible with scheduling and priorities Mentor-focused Person-centered Personal accountability Reliable Respect for policies Team Builder QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Must provide proof of valid driver’s license and personal valid vehicle insurance.
