BASIC FUNCTIONS: Responsible for providing on-site training, supervision and support to high school student interns participating in the Summer Youth Work Experience transition program. The Job Coach serves as a liaison between the host employer, vocational rehabilitation, and UCP to promote the agency’s mission and to facilitate the integration of persons with disabilities into the community work setting through job training. This includes: task analysis for a particular job; teaching participants the necessary steps required to complete job tasks; working side-by-side with the participants to ensure all aspects of the job are done to the employer’s satisfaction; using appropriate learning strategies and identifying necessary accommodations.
