About The Position

CAPTRUST is offering a paid internship in our Brentwood, TN office that will provide exposure to the inner workings of a wealth management firm. This position will be trained in different aspects of financial planning and wealth management. Hands-on learning starts day one in this fast-paced environment. The intern will also be trained in multiple softwares used throughout the firm. Primary responsibilities may include the following, amongst others:

Requirements

Actively pursuing undergraduate/graduate degree from an accredited institution, college, or university
Any school of business majors (Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred)
Significant interest in the workings of financial planning and wealth management and intend to pursue the CFP designation upon graduation
High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs
Excellent communication and client service skills
Organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask with proven ability to plan and achieve results
Demonstrate high work ethics and integrity
Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of information
Team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others
Ability to prioritize tasks and to manage multiple reporting relationships

Responsibilities

Attend client meetings in a support role including meeting preparation and follow-up activities
Assist with gathering client information and creation of high-quality retirement plans
Assist in preparing client account and retirement plan reports
Learn our portfolio management systems
Assist in internal research and client specific research projects
Support client services and administrative teams as need
