About The Position

We have high expectations for performance and want employees who can rise to the challenge. Scheduling Requirements This position is a temporary position from May - August. Summer Tellers work 40 hours per week and must be available to work a varying schedule Monday through Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Your schedule will change weekly based on business volume and need. This is a floating position between various branches. Employees will float within one, regional area where we have the most need e.g. North (Bristol/Blountville/Abingdon/Piney Flats), West (Greeneville/Mt. Carmel, Rogersville/Gate City & Duffield), Johnson City (Gray/Boones Creek/Jonesborough/Market Corner/State of Franklin/Broyles Drive/West Elk), Kingsport (Meadowview/B147/Wilcox/Clinchfield/East Stone Drive/Colonial Heights/Allandale) . While we strive to place employees in the region closest to their home address, business needs may dictate placement in another regional area. Preference will be given to applicants that are flexible with location placement. We will not consider applicants that are seeking permanent employment after their Summer assignment. Responsibilities

  • Perform teller transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Balance cash drawer
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of teller policies, procedures, functions, and responsibilities and be able to refer to on-line procedures and relevant regulations
  • Maintain pleasant, positive and helpful attitude when dealing with members and co-workers
  • Maintain strict confidentiality toward member accounts within ECU as well as outside of ECU
  • Arrive at work and return from lunch/meetings promptly (be at workstation and ready to work at scheduled time)
