We are currently taking applications for Summer Student- Production Associate at our Hudson Bay location to start in May 2026. The Hudson Bay OSB Mill is a market-focused quality Oriented Strand Board (OSB) operation. This mill site includes a Log Yard, Green End, Drying, Pressing, Finishing and Shipping depts., Maintenance/Engineering. The workforce of approximately 160 employees is represented by the United Steelworkers Union. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Summer Student - Production Associate is responsible for mill production activities in an assigned area of the Mill. We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety & have a desire to work in a manufacturing facility while maintaining a positive attitude and good work ethic.

Requirements

  • All applicants must have completed between 1 year and 3 years of full time post-secondary studies at a recognized educational institution.
  • All applicants must be returning to full time post-secondary studies in September of 2026.
  • Post-secondary graduates are not eligible to apply for the summer student position.
  • Steady documented work history.
  • Willingness to work a rotating shift, including weekends and holidays as operating conditions require.
  • Willingness to wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work in extreme heat and cold.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be team oriented.
  • Ability to perform essential physical functions of the position, which may include climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting, and bending.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment testing process.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for mill production activities in an assigned area of the Mill.
