About The Position
Elections Nova Scotia is an independent, non-partisan agency responsible for the administration of the Elections Act. Its mandate includes conducting provincial general elections and by-elections, ensuring compliance with provincial electoral law, and maintaining election-related information. The Summer Student (GIS Analyst) opportunity allows you to be part of the Elections Nova Scotia team during a time of modernizing the electoral process. You will use your knowledge of ESRI GIS software and cartography to maintain Nova Scotia’s geospatial electoral database, conduct customized analysis, implement quality control procedures, prepare cartographic products, and develop GIS-related tools for spatial analysis.
