About The Position

ORBIS focuses on reusable packaging products and services to optimize supply chains, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability. Menasha Packaging is seeking student seasonal workers for the summer of 2025 (and December). This position involves assisting operators at various machine centers throughout the plant, including printing machinery, die cutters, folder-gluers, and shipping and receiving operations, to cover absences. The Summer Student Program requires verification of full-time student status at an accredited college or trade school and applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of employment.

Requirements

  • Verification of full-time student status at an accredited college or trade school must be presented at time of application.
  • Students must be age 18 at the time of employment.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Satisfactory reading comprehension, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Willing and able to complete pre-employment drug and criminal background screenings if presented with a conditional offer of employment
  • Must be willing and able to work mandatory overtime including weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Power industrial Truck (PIT) / Forklift experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills – data entry
  • Prior Manufacturing or Industrial Services experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist operators at various machine centers throughout the plant to fill in for people when they are absent.
  • Assist with the operation of a variety of machines including various types of printing machinery, die cutters, folder-gluers, shipping and receiving, etc.
  • Demonstrate basic math and measurement skills
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools; including tape measures
  • Able to work at a brisk pace throughout an 8 – 12 hour shift in a non-sedentary position within a manufacturing environment
  • Perform procedural quality inspections and identify defects as compared to written product specifications
  • Able to read and follow all work instructions in a safe and effective manner
  • Demonstrate outstanding attention-to-detail while always achieving superior safety, quality and productivity standards
  • Develop Machine Operator qualifications by assisting Qualified Operators and through on-the-job training
