About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Athletics Program Manager, the Summer Sports Camp Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising the assigned Sports Camp for the week, which may vary weekly. This position is a seasonal employee working approximately 20-25 hours a week and requires a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and responsible person to work in a fun environment with children in a summer day camp setting.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old with an understanding of Sports Camp procedures—prior experience playing or coaching sports preferred.
Must have current CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to obtain certification before the start date.
Should have an outgoing personality with good interpersonal skills.
Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers.
Attend mandatory staff orientation and training.
Set up designated camp area before the start of camp.
Monitor the camp area and other used areas and attempt to solve any issue to the best of your ability.
Develop and maintain effective public relations/communications with co-workers, campers, and parents.
Clean and maintain program area.
Maintain accurate records and alert the Athletics Program Manager to any issues or concerns.
Assist in evaluating assigned programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
