About The Position

Knowledge Services is seeking a Sports Summer Camp Counselor to manage the daily operational tasks of the Summer Adventure Day Camp Program. This role operates under the supervision of the Head Day Camp Counselor and the direction of the Park Manager/Sr. Coordinator. This is a seasonal position, expected to run from May 18, 2026, to July 24, 2026.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in school or have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Should be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have at least 1 year experience working with youth in a supportive environment.
  • Must have current certification in CPR and First Aid prior to summer employment (City of Indianapolis will help gain certification if not already certified).
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work daytime hours ranging from 7:30am to 6:00pm.
  • Must have a valid drivers license (required for motor vehicle record screening).

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual skills particularly in speaking Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Follows all Indy Parks and Recreation Seasonal Policies and Procedures.
  • Monitors and supervises of campers and volunteers.
  • Coordinates daily camp and parent communication.
  • Implements daily activities and schedules.
  • Supports campers in the camp or activities setting.
  • Supports and assists campers while in activities such as, games, arts & crafts.
