About The Position
Act as summer camp counselor to manage children between the ages of 5-12. Conduct activities, games, crafts and other fun learning experiences as assigned. Spend time out of doors during activities, walking and active engagement is required.
Requirements
- Age 16
- Must be enthusiastic, dependable, mature with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Be able to be outside in all sorts of weather
- Walk up to two miles daily
- Lift up to 30 pounds unassisted
- Able to communicate clearly with campers, fellow counselors, interpretive staff and parents/guardians
- Able to respond quickly in an emergency
- Available to attend all training sessions and work Monday-Friday for the majority of camp
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated child-care experience or education experience preferred
- Experience with outdoor/historical activities preferred
- Valid CPR, First Aid and/or CMA credentials a plus
