About The Position

The City of Altoona is seeking College-Aged Summer Seasonal Workers to join the Public Works Department for the busy summer season. Summer Seasonal Workers will provide support and assistance in maintaining and improving City facilities and services during the summer months. This includes tasks such as landscaping, mowing, painting, cleaning, and general maintenance work. The ideal candidates should be reliable, motivated, and able to work well in a team environment. Starting wage is $14.25/hour. The City of Altoona is an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

Individuals must be enrolled at least half-time in a post-secondary institution of higher education or training that may include academic, technical, or vocational instruction.
A valid state driver's license is required
Applicants must be able to perform physical tasks involved in maintenance work and work well in a team setting.
