As a Part-Time, Summer Leasing Specialist for Longfellow Lofts in Madison, WI, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in property management while positively impacting our community and residents. This role is ideal for students or individuals seeking a flexible, seasonal position in a fast-paced, people-focused environment. You will help create a welcoming first impression of our community by showcasing our apartments and amenities in an upbeat, professional, and positive light. This position is approximately 24 hours per week, with a flexible schedule within office hours (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) and runs throughout the summer season.

Requirements

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to change
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. (current students encouraged to apply)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience using basic office equipment & Microsoft Office applications
  • Innovation: You enjoy finding new ways to connect with people and enhance the leasing experience
  • Execution: You are reliable, detail-oriented, and take pride in completing tasks efficiently
  • Servant Leadership: You bring a positive, team-first attitude and enjoy helping others

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Yardi property management software
  • Previous customer service, leasing, retail, or sales experience

Responsibilities

  • Working with prospective residents to identify their needs and help them find the perfect home
  • Screening and approving qualified applicants in accordance with company policy, Fair Housing regulations, and local laws; preparing leases and associated move-in documentation
  • Preparing the property for daily showings, including opening/closing model units and amenities
  • Assisting with the new resident move-in process to ensure a smooth transition into the community
  • Delivering a high level of resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, and professional interactions
  • Performing general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, typing, and answering phones
  • Attending and assisting with resident events and activities as needed
  • Following up with leasing leads and entering traffic into CRM systems
