Secondary Summer School Teacher- Summer 2026 [Current Employees Only]
About The Position
The teacher is responsible for supporting students with assigned content development and the essential knowledge and skills appropriate for the level of the students within the content areas. It is the teacher’s responsibility to prepare and follow with fidelity the curriculum provided and presented during training during the summer program. The teacher will work closely with the Summer Program Facilitator, Coordinator, other teachers, and students. All other duties as assigned by the facilitator. Appropriate dress is required as per IISD Dress Code. Requirements
- Must be a current Irving ISD employee
- Valid Texas teaching certificate for subject/level assigned
- Bachelor's Degree
- Has experience scaffolding
- Has experience with small group instruction
- Has experience with teaching ELs
- Irving certified teacher with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Understands and uses sheltered instruction in lesson design and delivery
- Has experience working with students in assigned grade level
