The Human Resources Department is collecting applications for those certified employees interested in the Summer Program for 2026 (Grades K-5). Program Details The Summer program runs four days a week (Monday-Thursdiay) from June 1st - 25th. One required professional development day on May 28th. Work Times: 7:55 am- 3:55 pm Locations: Henry Leavenworth Elementary Substitutes and Part Time Teachers may be needed. Email Dr. April Soberon at [email protected] if you are only interested in part time assignments. Program Requirements Assist with the implementation of the curriculum for the Summer Program. Work to plan and implement instructional programming Participate in all trainings related to the Summer Program Incorporate 45 minutes of planning time each full instructional day (30 minutes each day for part time) to ensure high quality lessons for students Address individual children’s needs under the guidance of the Administrative Intern and USD453 Administrative Team Assist in administering pre- and post-assessments in order to measure student progress and program effectiveness Submit group attendance to Administrative Intern Compensation USD 453 certified employee’s working the Summer Program will be paid at the rate of $30/hour. All employees are required to fill out time sheets for summer teacher duties. Selection The Human Resources Department and Teaching and Learning Department will do their best to have assignments set by the end of April.
