About The Position

Eenhoorn is seeking Summer/Seasonal Team Members to join our team for a unique crawlspace project this Summer. This project is based at our residential apartment community, Pineridge Apartments, located in Walker, MI The scope of the project involves repairing and improving crawlspaces in the buildings by addressing insulation issues, waterproofing, and resolving root causes of damage such as water intrusion, broken vents, and rodent activity. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction while making a tangible impact on residential homes. What You Need to Know This job requires working in tight spaces (crawlspaces), so applicants must be comfortable with confined areas, getting dirty, and handling physical labor. You will use various tools and equipment to complete the work safely and efficiently. Schedule This is a seasonal/summer position, working Monday-Friday, during the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch (40 hours/week). Requirements

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, bending, crawling, and standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces.
  • Familiarity with basic tools (e.g., staple guns, drills) is preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in construction or crawlspace repairs (e.g., insulation installation, waterproofing, structural repairs) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Removing and disposing of old insulation and debris.
  • Installing new insulation, plastic sheeting, and Tyvek house wrap.
  • Using tools like nail guns, staple guns, and utility knives to secure materials.
  • Sealing foundation cracks with quick-setting cement.
  • Replacing dryer vents and redirecting downspouts to prevent water intrusion.
