About The Position

Trellis Services is hiring instructors to work with children and adolescents (ages 9 to 21) diagnosed with autism in their Towson Summer Program. This part-time position offers flexible hours, great pay ($19/hr), and participation in a 401K plan. It is described as a great entry-level position and resume builder for individuals looking to start a career in Special Education. The program is located in Towson 21286. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 9:00am-4:00pm during the last two weeks of June and the first two weeks of August, and 12:00pm-6:00pm in July. Flexible schedules are available. Instructors must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance and be willing to get in the pool with their client. As a Trellis autism instructor, you will work under the supervision of experienced Case Managers and gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Requirements

• Meet the minimum age requirement of 18
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• The ability to pass a background check.
• Minimum 100 hours of working/volunteer/personal experience with individuals with developmental delays
• Reliable transportation/Valid Driver's License/Current Auto Insurance
• Willing to get in the pool with their client.
• Ability to push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds, and move quickly, according to client needs.
• Ability to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of one of our experienced Case Managers and gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
• Provide one-on-one support with community independence, daily living and recreation/leisure
• Advance into other roles at Trellis
