About The Position

Snapology teaches STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) principles to children through hands-on learning using LEGO® bricks and technology in a fun and engaging way! https://www.snapology.com/massachusetts-fitchburg/ Position Summary: The Assistant Instructor works alongside Primary Instructors to deliver engaging Snapology programs. This role involves supporting classroom activities while helping students develop creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Role & Responsibilities: Our main goal is that students are provided with a fun, enriching summer experience in a safe, supportive environment. To continue reaching this goal, you will be asked to: Assist Snapology Instructors as they lead groups of up to 24 students through curriculum-guided activities Monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment Aid in management of student behavior and maintain discipline by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs Participate in Snapology training & staff meetings Check-in with Owner/Program Director as needed. Qualifications: Criminal Offender Record Information CORI must be current (adult applicants) and First aid/CPR certification (required); we can help you with these! Desire to work with children, some experience in a classroom, camp, or similar environment Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis Ability to analyze where assistance is needed initiate tasks independently Capability to help with delivering and/or receiving materials (personal transportation needed) Minimum education completed as of June 2025: Junior year of high school (college students and high school seniors are encouraged to apply) Locations: While our center is located in North Chelmsford, this position is active for programs happening at our partner locations in towns such as Acton, Ayer, Canton, Carlisle, Concord, Groton, North Chelmsford, Pepperell, Sterling, Tyngsborough and Westford. Note that you may not be required to travel to all of these locations. We will work to place you close to your home! Hours: Instructors can expect to be assigned an 8 hour shift. For Instructors assigned to work on-site in Chelmsford, shifts are generally either 7:35 am-3:35pm or 8:50 am-4:50pm each day. For our off-site programs, staff can expect to be on-site from approximately 8:15 am-4:15 pm, depending on the location. Pay: All Instructors will be paid $450-500 for weekly full day camps for the off-site programs. For onsite Chelmsford, the rate shall be $15 per h. Training: All training on our curriculum and policies/procedures is provided. This will generally take place over two Saturday's in May or early June and will include your First Aid/CPR certification, if needed. Requirements
