The Perry Ellis International, Nike Swim team are currently looking for a Summer Merchandising Intern in Portland, OR!

Requirements

  • Pursuing a 4 year college degree
  • Currently enrolled and attending an accredited university
  • Strong interest in both merchandising and fashion
  • Knowledge of Google Applications including Excel/Google Sheets
  • Detail oriented and deadline driven
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Schedule is Monday through Thursday
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to interact with varying personalities
  • Must have the ability to present a professional and informative product and trend assortment to internal and external audiences.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google and Adobe Illustrator

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and interface with all cross-functional teams including design, sales, product development, technical design, and marketing
  • Reviews quantitative selling reports to perform analysis on seasonal best/worst sellers
  • Shadow merchandising supervisor and attend meetings with cross functional teams
  • Prepared summaries of work status and present to merchandising supervisor
  • Create and maintain seasonal digital catalogs within Nuorder platform
  • Organize current and future season samples
  • Help analyze the competitive market in order to ensure pricing and brand positioning is in line with the completion
  • Prepare regular competitive shopping recaps using online and in store data
  • Perform trend research as needed
  • Participate in and help prepare for meetings, including market preparation with showroom samples and presentation boards
  • Help the merchandising and design teams with any additional tasks
