About The Position
Upward Bound serves high school students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor’s degree and/or from families who meet federal income guidelines. The goal of UB is to help students recognize and develop their potential and to encourage them to pursue post-secondary degrees. Our goal of summer programming is to incorporate learning in a fun and creative way. This will be an opportunity to teach on campus at Ripon College, WI in a classroom setting. We will have 3 separate individuals who will teach: World Language ASL Curriculum Content and Lesson Preparation (Grades 9-12) Math and Lesson Preparation (Grades 9-12) English and Lesson Preparation (Grades 9-12)
Requirements
- Licensed teacher for 9th – 12th grade in given field and at least 1 year teaching experience preferred.
- All offers will be contingent on a successful criminal background check.
- Must live and work in Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
- Develop a curriculum focusing on key concepts designed around the summer’s theme
- Develop hands-on activities for workshops
- Submit a syllabus by May 1, 2026
- Attend teacher orientation
- Create pre and post tests
- Communicate and give feedback to students
- Submit final grades to UB Advisors by July 13th
- Be a positive role model for our Upward Bound scholars
