About The Position

Summer Maintenance Technicians are responsible for assisting the maintenance team with routine and emergency repairs and upkeep of the facilities and grounds.

Requirements

Must be 16 years of age or older for consideration
Ability to verbally communicate clearly and effectively
Ability to maintain emotional control at all times, especially under stressful circumstances
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, consider alternative and diverse perspectives, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, remain poised under all circumstances, and interact effectively with people in a positive and professional manner that engenders confidence and trust
Ability to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision
Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions
Ability to work with people beyond giving and receiving instructions; must be adaptable to performing under stress and when confronted with stressful situations
Ability to listen and respond to counsel
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
Must possess the ability to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound
Must possess the ability to express ideas using the spoken word to convey instructions to stakeholders accurately, loudly, and/or quickly

Responsibilities

Perform duties to maintain the facilities and support the achievement of BAC/BACS goals and objectives, as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
Paint buildings, equipment, etc. as necessary
Replace ballasts and repair light fixtures
Perform minor repairs to desks and other furniture and fixtures
Mount and/or assemble equipment as required
Repair and/or replace defective doors and locks
Repair fences and playground equipment
Ensure trash on the grounds is collected as necessary
Perform setups of tables, chairs, etc. for church and Christian School
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Other duties as assigned to assist the work of the church, school, and preschool
