About The Position

Job Summary: We are seeking energetic and responsible Summer Lifeguards to join our Aquatics team at The Summer Club. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. You will play a key role in preventing accidents and responding swiftly to emergencies when needed. Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Safety: Monitor waterpark attractions, pools, and surrounding areas to ensure the safety of all guests and enforce waterpark rules and regulations. Respond promptly to emergencies, performing rescue and first aid procedures as needed. Maintain constant surveillance of guests and proactively monitor waterpark activities. Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with guests in a professional and friendly manner. Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of water park areas, including picking up debris, checking water quality, and cleaning pool decks and surrounding spaces. Participate in daily safety briefings and ensure compliance with all safety protocols. Administer first aid and CPR as necessary and assist in emergency situations until medical professionals arrive. Attend regular training sessions and stay up-to-date on lifesaving techniques and safety protocols. Assist with other waterpark-related tasks, as required. Enforcement of Rules and Regulations : Enforce all pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment. Educate patrons about safety rules and water safety practices. First Aid and Emergency Response: Administer first aid, CPR, or other emergency care as needed. Contact emergency medical services (EMS) and other authorities in case of serious emergencies. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by interacting with patrons in a professional and friendly manner. Answer questions and provide information about the facilities and services. Facility Maintenance and Cleanliness: Inspect and maintain equipment and facilities to ensure they are in good working order. Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed. Training and Certification: Participate in regular training sessions to maintain lifeguarding skills and certifications. Stay updated with the latest safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety.
  • Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to enforce rules and regulations firmly and fairly.
  • High level of responsibility and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous tasks, including swimming, lifting, and carrying heavy objects.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior lifeguard or related experience is a plus, but not required.
