Summer Lifeguard
About The Position
The purpose of this position is to ensure the safety of the public by providing a safe and organized environment for patrons in and around the pool. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs daily patrol of the pool, effectively communicates all pool rules, regulations and guidelines, identifies and communicates any safety concerns to supervisor(s), maintains proper required paperwork, and files accident reports and active saves/rescue reports as needed. Checks pool chemicals daily to ensure compliance. Provides swimming lessons in accordance of facility operations and maintains all paperwork associated with swimming lessons. Assists in admission and concessions as needed. Maintains cleanliness of facility by providing proper maintenance to pool grounds. Supplemental Functions: Performs other similar duties as required.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Aquatic life saving techniques
- Cash-handling
- Skills in Identifying and accessing of problematic situations
- Moderate communication skills
- Basic math
- Basic computer skills
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid Certified
