The Summer Laborer will promote safety, perform general physical activities such as using hand tools, cleaning, washing, sweeping, shoveling materials, and handling 40 lb. bags of ice, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A valid Driver’s License is required.
• Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with OSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Perform a variety of tasks assisting with the daily operation of the plant, including using hand tools, cleaning, washing, sweeping, shoveling materials, and handling 40 lb. bags of ice.
• Other duties as assigned.
