About The Position

Summer High School Internship Program (Non-Clinical Roles) Program Overview Cass Regional Medical Center is proud to offer a paid Summer High School Internship Program designed for students entering their senior year or recent high school graduates. This program provides valuable, hands-on experience in a professional healthcare environment, focusing on non-clinical support roles that are essential to daily hospital operations. Interns will gain exposure to various departments, develop workplace and communication skills, and contribute to services that directly support patient care and organizational success. Program Details Duration: 8–10 weeks (June through August 2026) Hours: Up to 40 hours per week (flexible scheduling based on availability and department needs) Pay: $15.00 per hour (PRN, Grade 1 equivalent) Benefits: Not eligible for benefits Eligibility Requirements Applicants must: Be a high school student entering their senior year (Class of 2027) OR a 2026 graduate Be at least 16 years of age Be in good academic standing Demonstrate responsibility, professionalism, and a strong interest in learning about healthcare operations Available Non-Clinical Internship Opportunities Students may apply for placement in one of the following departments: Clerk / Administrative Support Courier / Materials Management Reception Desk Representative Accounting Human Resources Plant Operations Patient Access Education Additional departments may be considered based on interest and availability QualificationsQualifications Current high school senior, college student, or recent graduate Interest in healthcare administration, business, or related field Strong communication and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook preferred) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Professional attitude with a willingness to learn Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail Effective time management and organizational skills Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment Professional communication skills Problem-solving ability and initiative

Requirements
