Interns work under the supervision of a department leader or designee and contribute to daily operations, projects such as research or strategic initiatives as well as other duties as assigned. Participate in staff meetings, project meetings, and interdisciplinary discussions as requested. Proactively seek out learning opportunities, manage time effectively, and appropriately prioritize assignments. Follow all organizational policies, procedures, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements. 10 MTN PCU—this 20 bed telemetry PCU specialized in the care and management of all general and bariatric surgery patients. This unit houses the majority of Enhanced Recovery (ERAS) patients. They also serve as the alternate unit for neurotrauma surgery patients, hospitalist/medicine patients, and urology/other surgery patients. The Receptionist Clerk serves as the front line to receive and greet patients and visitors for the Nursing Unit. The Receptionist Clerk answers calls made to the nursing department and answers questions or forwards to appropriate area if unable to answer inquiry. Receive mail and distribute to appropriate personnel for processing. Assists nursing staff with data entry as needed.
