About The Position
O’Hagan Meyer is seeking motivated and detail-oriented summer law clerks to join our Fresno, CA team. This is an exceptional opportunity for law students interested in employment law to gain hands-on experience working alongside a team of seasoned litigators and dynamic client base. As a summer law clerk, you’ll be fully integrated into our litigation team, contributing to real cases and meaningful client work from day one. You’ll receive personalized mentorship, participate in strategy sessions, and sharpen your legal research and writing skills—all while building lasting connections with attorneys who are invested in your growth. With over 400 attorneys in offices across the country, O’Hagan Meyer is a national civil litigation defense firm committed to legal excellence and outstanding client service. We focus on preventative counseling and a results-driven approach to litigation, offering our clients strategic guidance and effective, solution-oriented representation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in pre-law, political science, or a related field (or currently enrolled in law school)
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a law firm or legal environment is preferred
Responsibilities
- Contributing to real cases and meaningful client work
- Participate in strategy sessions
- Sharpen your legal research and writing skills
- Attend client phone calls with an attorney and assist with witness interviews
- Observe mediations, depositions, court hearings, trials, and arbitrations
