Job Summary Are you a motivated and talented individual seeking an opportunity to excel and grow into a dynamic leader? If so, the Acuity Inc. Internship Program could be the perfect opportunity to jump‑start your career. Our 10–12‑week immersive summer internship (June–August, 40 hours/week) is designed to accelerate your growth through hands‑on projects, real‑world problem solving, and direct exposure to the inner workings of a fast‑moving organization. Throughout the program, you’ll work on initiatives that align your strengths and interests with strategic business priorities—making a real impact from day one. Interns will also have valuable opportunities to network with leaders across Acuity Inc., gaining insights into career paths, industry trends, and essential leadership skills. We especially encourage students with one to two semesters remaining in their degree program to apply. These candidates may be eligible for our Leadership Program following the internship—a full‑time, entry‑level rotational experience that allows recent graduates to explore diverse roles within a functional area. This program is designed to broaden your skill set, strengthen your professional network, and help you discover what inspires you as you launch your career. Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)This internship provides a comprehensive experience designed to expose you to key functions and processes across Acuity’s Finance organization. You will drive both business and financial decisions through the ownership of an individual intern project. During the internship you will be exposed to key processes including monthly reporting and close, financial analyses, annual forecasting and more. You will work closely with and be placed across our departments including FP&A, Accounting, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Treasury, and Tax. Your intern projects will be tied to one of our departments and aligned with our key processes. Examples of previous projects include: Working with finance team to design and maintain financial models to drive action of business partners Working cross-functionally with Internal Audit team and IT partners on high-impact initiative to utilize key systems and drive risk-assessment analyses. This work laid the foundation for automation and future scalability, delivering lasting value and elevating the organization’s risk posture Analyzing working capital to drive forecasting inputs and drive business outcomes Spearheading the development of a dynamic financial model tailored for the CFO's strategic decision-making regarding corporate owned insurance policies Along with the valuable knowledge gained within the internship, you will also participate in activities to enhance your business acumen and personal growth.  Some of those activities include: A specialized onboarding to ensure integration into the organization Social and networking events to help forge connections with both peers and the broader Finance organization Connections with senior leadership in Acuity’s headquarters in Atlanta, GA

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree
  • Relevant internship or project experience
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to travel as needed
