About The Position

To learn the overall strategy of the department while assisting with the day-to-day functions and special projects.

Requirements

  • A high school education or GED.
  • Must be currently attending an accredited college or university working towards a bachelor's degree in a business or a related field.
  • Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
  • Must be professional, courteous and friendly, with the ability to communicate in an enthusiastic and effective manner.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer and telephone skills are required.
  • Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Light lifting required
  • Must be able to work 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday from mid-May to the beginning of August.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and organize data, assist in performing audit testing, and provide observations to the Audit Services.
  • Build knowledge of credit union risks, regulatory requirements, and best practices by participating in training sessions, reading assigned materials, and asking questions.
  • Help maintain complete, accurate, and organized documentation of testing and findings, following internal procedures.
  • Provide support in gathering materials for external audits and regulatory examinations as needed.
