About The Position

Role: To learn the overall strategy of the department while assisting with the day-to-day functions and special projects.

Requirements

  • A high school education or GED
  • Must be currently attending an accredited college or university working towards a bachelor's degree in a business or a related field
  • Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion
  • Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information
  • Must be professional, courteous and friendly, with the ability to communicate in an enthusiastic and effective manner
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer and telephone skills are required
  • Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Light lifting required
  • Must be able to work 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday from mid-May to the beginning of August

Responsibilities

  • Collect and organize data
  • Assist in performing audit testing
  • Provide observations to the Audit Services
  • Build knowledge of credit union risks, regulatory requirements, and best practices by participating in training sessions, reading assigned materials, and asking questions
  • Help maintain complete, accurate, and organized documentation of testing and findings, following internal procedures
  • Provide support in gathering materials for external audits and regulatory examinations as needed
  • Provide friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all members and staff
  • Complete all tasks and assignments in a timely manner
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism and effective communication
