About The Position
The Instrumentation Intern will be responsible for assisting in the instrumentation of test trucks, collecting and processing test data as well as; coordinating with varies department/personnel, and submitting work orders at the Paccar Technical Center. The PACCAR Technical Center is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to development and validation of Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF semi-trucks. This internship opportunity is available for students who are currently pursuing an Instrumentation and Control Technology associates degree. PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905. Requirements
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft office products.
- Strong mathematical skills, basic knowledge of electronics.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic electronic circuits.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible and willing to adapt to changing duties and activities.
- Currently enrolled in Instrumentation and Control Technology Associates Degree program or be enrolled in an AA degree program in a related technology.
Responsibilities
- Support tasks related to the configuration and collection of data using test control software
- Install data collection instruments.
- Ensure accuracy of test data for engineering analysis.
- Assist with the calibration of accelerometers, pressure sensors and other devices.
- Inform managers, peers and internal customers of work progress and issues.
