About The Position
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties, locations, and responsibilities performed by incumbent(s) in this job. This job description is not a “contract” between the employee and the Authority. The job duties and essential functions may be changed at the discretion of the General Manager. The Summer Intern, Water-Distribution will support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of activities within the water distribution system. This role involves working closely with the distribution team to ensure smooth operations and assist with various technical and logistical tasks related to water distribution.
Requirements
- Familiarity with water distribution systems and related technical processes.
- Basic understanding of engineering and water distribution principles.
- Must be currently enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate or graduate program
- Must have at least 30 credit hours complete
- Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average
- Strong leadership and technical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams to coordinate and monitor distribution system activities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Previous internships or experience related to water distribution, civil engineering, or project coordination.
- Preferred Major: Engineering or any technical major related to water distribution or civil infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and technical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams to coordinate and monitor distribution system activities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and coordinating water distribution system activities.
- Support the monitoring of ongoing distribution system operations and projects.
- Provide technical and logistical support to the distribution team to ensure effective functioning.
- Prepare reports and assist in documentation of activities related to water distribution.
- Performance of assignments under the direct supervision of a department lead
- Performance of other work-related duties as needed
