About The Position

Volkswagen Group of America’s 10 – week Summer Internship Program targets undergraduate students entering their Junior or Senior years who are eager to acquire practical, real-world experience in the automotive industry. The VWGoA Public Affairs Intern will support the Public Affairs team through research, legislative monitoring, and the development of reports and presentations. This role will assist with advocacy engagement by creating informational materials, contribute to planning and executing high-profile events such as VWGoA’s Future Leaders in Mobility Program, and attend policy and industry networking events.

Requirements

• A rising college Junior, Senior or recent graduate
• Strong GPA
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong writing ability
• Strong verbal skills (articulate and concise).
• Goal and results-oriented; diplomacy and tact.
• Familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

• Strong preference for Public, Governmental Affairs, and business-related majors.

Responsibilities

• Support the Public Affairs team through research, legislative monitoring, and drafting of reports and presentations.
