About The Position

Tunnels, Bridges & Terminals Department (TB&T) connects the road networks of NY and NJ through tunnels, bridges, and interstate bus terminals that permit people and goods to move safely, efficiently, and conveniently while generating net income for the Port Authority's ongoing operations and investment needs.

Requirements

Enrollment at a college or university at the time of the internship
Major in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Nice To Haves

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and One Drive.
Interest in contributing to the success of the New York and New Jersey region.
Interest in public service and/or transportation.

Responsibilities

Work closely with team members on specific projects with the potential to be involved in a wide range of project-related work including presentation graphics, and review of construction documents.
Assist Project Managers in preparing authorization documents and presentations, preparing/updating project schedules and budgets, preparing progress meeting agendas and notes, organizing site visits and investigating/resolving field issues.
Assist Unit Managers in the consolidation of various reporting documents
