Summer Intern, Product Data - Indianapolis, Indiana As a Product Data Intern on the Global Engineering Solutions team, you will contribute meaningful work and make a direct impact to the Global Engineering Competency. You will gain valuable experience in defining and scoping requirements for process workflows, testing engineering tool enhancements and upgrades, developing training materials, and proactively improving product data integrity for existing products. Additional opportunities include cross-functional collaboration outside of Engineering, learning about material compliance and sustainability in the door hardware industry, and honing your communication skills through customer service and training opportunities. Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline, e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Graphics Technology, Digital Enterprise Systems, or other technical field
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative, e.g., school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc.
  • Experience with 3D CAD Modeling and PLM software, PTC products (Creo and Windchill) preferred
  • Ability to work in both a team and individual setting
  • Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly
  • Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques
  • A desire to learn, grow and develop by working on projects that will impact Allegion’s business and customers

Responsibilities

  • Work with an international team to produce and implement well-rounded CAD and/or PLM solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement on Allegion’s globally used Enterprise processes
  • Develop, release, and maintain process related documentation and training materials
  • Learn about, evaluate, and share best practices on product data software tools and capabilities
  • Update CAD and/or PLM product data to comply with internal best practices and standards
  • Deepen your understanding in CAD modeling and product data management best practices
  • Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities within Allegion
