About The Position

The Medical Value & Evidence Generation Intern will support medical affairs activities at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals by contributing to evidence generation projects for Plozasiran (sHTG, FCS) and Zodasiran (HoFH). This internship offers hands-on experience designing and executing research that supports scientific publications, congress presentations, and value communication strategies. The intern will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to analyze data, generate insights, and help advance the scientific and clinical understanding of Arrowhead’s therapies. This is an 11-week Summer Internship Program paying $26.00 per hour for students pursuing a Master's Degree and $27 per hour for students pursing a Doctorate Degree. This role requires full-time, onsite work five days per week at the designated location.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s degree (MPH or MS), or a PhD or PharmD program at the dissertation stage (qualifying exams passed with strong academic performance).
  • Strong background in econometrics, quantitative methods, or applied statistics.
  • Proficiency in SAS, STATA, and Excel (VBA experience a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality analytical outputs within deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, creative, and quick to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience or academic training in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), epidemiology, or real-world evidence.
  • Exposure to large language modeling or AI-assisted research tools.
  • Experience supporting scientific publications or congress submissions.
  • Interest in medical affairs, value demonstration, or evidence strategy within the pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support medical value and evidence generation research projects for late-stage and clinical programs.
  • Conduct quantitative analyses using in-house datasets and/or in collaboration with external vendors and consultants.
  • Contribute to development of scientific abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and presentations for congresses and peer-reviewed journals.
  • Apply econometric and quantitative methods to support real-world evidence, outcomes research, or clinical data analyses.
  • Assist with study design, analysis plans, and interpretation of results.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, HEOR, Clinical, and external partners.
  • Present findings and progress updates to the project team.
