About The Position

The Information Systems & Informatics (IS&I) Intern will support technology operations at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals by contributing to asset management, reporting optimization, and end-user support initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience working with IT systems, tools, and processes that are critical to business continuity and future scalability. The intern will collaborate with IT professionals to improve data accuracy, streamline reporting, and enhance the overall user support experience. This is an 11-week Summer Internship Program paying $21.00 per hour and requires full-time, onsite work five days per week at the designated location.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited university or college and majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Willingness and ability to spend 75% of the workday walking the facility and 25% at a desk.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience providing IT support or help desk assistance.
  • Familiarity with asset management tools, ticketing systems, or reporting platforms.
  • Interest in IT operations, infrastructure, and systems support within a corporate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support an Asset Management and Tagging project, including tagging current IS&I assets and updating configurations within the Asset Management tool.
  • Review, validate, and enhance IS&I Help Desk ticketing system reports to improve accuracy, usability, and operational efficiency.
  • Generate new reports and dashboards to support day-to-day IT operations and future planning.
  • Assist with frontline Help Desk support for on-site and remote users.
  • Support PC lifecycle management, including setup, maintenance, and refresh activities.
  • Maintain accurate IT equipment inventory records.
  • Respond to employee questions related to Windows 11, Office 365, and mobile devices.
  • Assist with supporting and troubleshooting video conferencing technologies on PCs and in conference room environments.
  • Contribute to development of customer-facing dashboards and reports.
