About The Position

The Geographic Information Systems Intern position is a 10-week paid internship program designed to provide you with hands on experience that aligns with your interests and skillsets. Throughout your internship you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects to gain practical skills, industry knowledge, and contribute to projects that directly impact the business. In addition, you will gain exposure to our senior leadership through our Amp’d Up with Leader Series and participate in different social activities with other interns and team members. To support your professional development, you will also have access to a variety of workshops designed to help you develop professional skills and you will be assigned a mentor in an area of interest to help you along the way. This role will support our Geographic Information Systems team to support the optimization of the store network across the region. You’ll get to analyze market potential, assist in defining development plans and make data-driven decisions regarding our retail strategy!

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Geography, Computer Software Development, Engineering, Marketing, Statistics or related field.
  • Current Sophomore or Junior with a graduation date between May/June 2027 – 2028
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Proficient in ESRI Products or other geospatial tools and datasets
  • Strong analytical skills and prior experience working with geospatial tools and datasets

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership experience through involvement in student organizations, volunteer work, or previous experience
  • Curious mindset, data-driven, and ability to foster innovative ideas
  • Critical thinking and strong communication skills
  • Strategic thinking and detail oriented
  • Proficient in SQL, Python or other programming languages preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Utilize ESRI ArcGIs Pro and ArcGIS Online
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests by analyzing data from multiple databases to drive the optimization and improvement of business insights
  • Recommend process improvements and participate in projects that involve geospatial practices
