About The Position

DSG is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Intern in our Fargo, ND location. This 11-week summer internship program is a great opportunity to explore various pathways of a career in Human Resources. As an HR Intern, you will support the entire employee lifecycle through various tasks and projects related to Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Operations & Technology, Learning & Development, and Labor Law & Employee Relations. Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a college or university taking at least six credits during either the spring or summer 2026 semesters; program of study must be related to Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or another related field.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong interest in operations management and sales
  • Superior problem solving, project management, and analytical skills.
  • A proactive customer service mindset.
  • The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A knack for quick learning and adaptability in changing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an understanding of full-cycle recruiting through the creation and maintenance of accurate postings in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), screening and interviewing of applicants, and all steps of the pre-employment qualification and hiring processes.
  • Support the audit and administration of compensation and benefits programs to ensure fair, competitive, and well-understood compensation.
  • Maintain and track employee records within the HRIS to ensure accuracy and generate relevant metrics for continued evaluation.
  • Apply instructional design principles to modern corporate training environments by identifying current organizational training gaps, managing digital learning assets, and analyzing the Return of Investment (ROI) of human capital development.
  • Gain practical experience and demonstrate well-informed decisions in labor law compliance, effective management of human relations, and the implementation of organizational culture initiatives through various shadow experiences, trainings, and webinars.
