About The Position

Nabors Drilling Solutions is an oil and gas service company and a division of Nabors Drilling Technologies USA, Inc. With offices in Alaska, North Dakota, North East, Wyoming, East/South/and West Texas, we are positioned to service both the North American and International marketplaces. Our workforce, like our technology, is rapidly expanding and looking for a Summer Intern – Drilling Performance Automation. The Summer Intern – Drilling Performance Automation is responsible for developing understanding of automated drilling services within their assigned area and tracking data sets to show performance & value. They ensure NDS Performance Drilling technologies deliver maximum value by engaging the customer and closely working with drilling and remote operations, as well as training groups and technical support.

Requirements

Understanding of the drilling process
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to develop analysis spreadsheets and reports.
Effective verbal and written communicator.
Experience in drilling operations and drilling performance roles.

Nice To Haves

Proficient knowledge of Spotfire and PowerBI applications.

Responsibilities

Developing understanding of automated drilling services within their assigned area and tracking data sets to show performance & value.
Ensure NDS Performance Drilling technologies deliver maximum value by engaging the customer and closely working with drilling and remote operations, as well as training groups and technical support.
Provide drilling performance analysis including interaction with customer and field personnel to obtain information as needed.
Actively contribute to the development of the Performance Drilling Knowledge Base through improvements to the tool as well as data entry and analysis.
Provide support to drilling operations during field trials and develop sufficient knowledge of the applicable Drilling Performance products with the drilling contractor and operator.
Create reports for internal and external distribution to document value of the products and recommended next steps in technology adoption.
Utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize drilling automation sequences.
Track and report active job and trial activity.
Work with all required functions in the organization to ensure adequate staffing, resources and support for current operations; anticipate future needs for the same in close collaborations with geomarkets.
Support account managers and operations managers during sales calls and customer visits including technical discussions, product presentations and product training.
Identify, validate, and qualify opportunities for application of NDS technologies.
