Summer Intern, Construction Management
About The Position
Come Build with us! The Construction Management dedicates construction and contract management expertise to provide assurance that construction contracts are completed in accordance with contract specifications, budgets, and schedules in a safe and secure manner. As an intern on our team, you will be working alongside engineers and contractors building infrastructure at our facilities in the New York or New Jersey region to help minimize operational impacts that may compromise customer service. Air, Land, Rail, Sea -- we build it all!
Requirements
- Enrollment at a college or university at the time of the internship
- Major in Engineering (Construction Management, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, or related discipline)
- Valid Driver License.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, etc.
- Excellent written and oral skills.
- Interest in contributing to the success of the New York and New Jersey region.
- Interest in public services and transportation.
- Willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Construction Administration, adherence to specifications and projects.
- Field inspections, daily narratives, coordination with contractors.
- Follow onsite guidelines and best Construction Management practices.
