Job Summary Work as part of a team to provide engineering support to ensure reliability, availability, efficiency, and functionality of all equipment, processes and projects. Job Description Key Accountabilities Interface with engineering staff, operations & maintenance groups, and other Vistra personnel to ensure consistent, practical, and effective engineering solutions Rotate through different groups within the engineering department to gain a working knowledge of engineering functional areas. Shadowing of other departments, to include, but are not limited to Operations, Maintenance, Radiation Protection and Chemistry Will be assigned various engineering projects based on prior experience and courses completed Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment Possess the ability to work independently on assignments and problem solve with teams and in a dynamic environment All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Students sponsored through Optical Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) are NOT eligible for this internship
• Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year institution of higher education and pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master's Degree in engineering, data science, or related discipline
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Official transcripts must be received from your school prior to start date
• Must be in good academic standing with your school

Nice To Haves

• Experience with programming languages, project management, Power BI, or machinery desired
• Access Suite desired
• presentation skills desired

Responsibilities
