2026 Summer Intern - Cell Biology

About The Position

Cellanome is a well-funded start-up focused on tackling some of the biggest challenges in biology by developing next-generation technologies to unravel biological complexities. As a Summer Intern, you will report to the Staff Scientist and gain hands-on experience working across multiple cell types on the Cellanome Platform. You will contribute to projects advancing core cell biology capabilities, taking on one or more projects spanning areas such as cell onboarding (human primary cells and mammalian cell lines), cell state transitions (proliferation, differentiation, senescence) across diverse cell types including human preadipocytes, and CRISPR screening. You will contribute to experimental design, execution, and data analysis alongside scientists and engineers in a fast-moving environment, where your curiosity and creative thinking will directly shape the advancement of the platform.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled PhD student in a biology-related field
  • Able to commit to a 9-12 week program during Summer 2026
  • Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique
  • Self-motivated and curious, comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team
  • Comfortable organizing, analyzing, and interpreting complex experimental datasets

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with viral transduction, CRISPR-based experiments, primary cell differentiation, flow cytometry, or microscopy
  • Scripting experience (e.g., Python or R)
  • Exposure to sequencing- or image-based readouts
