About The Position

Overview Sharp Electronics is seeking an AI Process Automation Intern for the Summer of 2026. This internship provides an exciting opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in artificial intelligence and process automation while supporting Sharp’s Supply Chain & Operations division. The role is in person at Sharp Electronics Headquarters in Montvale NJ, with required in-person collaboration 2-3 times per week. Interns will contribute to real-world automation projects, gaining exposure to cross-functional collaboration, supply chain and demand planning processes, and the application of AI in business workflows.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Coursework or hands-on experience in AI, machine learning, or process automation is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Interest in consumer electronics and interest in supply chain innovation.
  • Since the office location in Montvale, NJ, is not accessible by public transportation, interns must have reliable transportation.
  • Unfortunately, we do not offer work visa sponsorship for this role, including participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with forecasting models and time series analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Supply Chain & Operations division to identify processes that can be optimized through AI-driven automation.
  • Work closely with Sales and Operations Planning team to assist with automating data pipelines and reporting dashboards using Python, SQL, or BI tools.
  • Instruct other team members how to properly and effectively utilize current LLMs (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.).
  • Develop and test AI/ML models to improve forecast accuracy and inventory optimization.
  • Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis using AI-driven simulations.
